This family’s nuts! (and drunk)

Well first of all, as you can see, my maiden name is Nutt. My husband’s last name is Beers. I HAD to hyphenate it. I really had no choice!

My family was bad, bad, bad with names. …

My great-grandfather was Pleasant Green Nutt.

My grandfather was Lytle Eve Nutt. My grandmother was Ada Lou Brewer. They married, making her Ada Nutt.

(Beers and Brewer in the same family? Party!)

They had children. Most were “regularly” named except one. His name was Carmel Nutt. I kid you not.

My grandmother’s sister married into the Nutt family, too. Her son is named Mann Nutt.

… My Mom is Lynda Mae Cox. Dad (deceased) was Dennis Wade Nutt. Mom was afraid that their wedding announcement would be deemed pornographic since it read “Cox and Nutt to Marry”.

Mom’s side of the family is less obvious, but just as fun!! Her mother, Lucy Hunt, married my grandfather Jack Cox. So, became Lucy Hunt Cox.

Sony for a girl, Magnavox for a boy

I love your name site, just had to say I worked for an insurance company at one time, GREAT source for odd names.

One family had children named Zenith, Sensory and Ed. The reason for this? Immigrants from Laos, large community of them, learning english by reading labels and billboards. Picked names that way.

I also know a boy named Rawser, perhaps one of the worst names I have ever heard, sounds like a name for a DOG.

Have a wonderful day,
Tracey

Noted priest Father Evolution Pro-Choice Jones

Adrian and Katrina [last name] named their firstborn male child “Raistlin Wolf [last name]”, Raistlin being the name of a sociopathic wizard in one of those “churn ’em out” fantasy novels they both loved dearly. He’s currently five.

At least the first name shortens to “Ray” painlessly.

I know a fellow by the name of Raymond Ray. He gets a lot of mileage out of saying his parent’s liked the name Ray so much they gave it to him twice.

One of the local “We shall teach what is in the Bible and nothing BUT!” types has Darwin as a first name; I consider this proof of the harm of picking unusual names for children.
