Well first of all, as you can see, my maiden name is Nutt. My husband’s last name is Beers. I HAD to hyphenate it. I really had no choice!

My family was bad, bad, bad with names. …

My great-grandfather was Pleasant Green Nutt.

My grandfather was Lytle Eve Nutt. My grandmother was Ada Lou Brewer. They married, making her Ada Nutt.

(Beers and Brewer in the same family? Party!)

They had children. Most were “regularly” named except one. His name was Carmel Nutt. I kid you not.

My grandmother’s sister married into the Nutt family, too. Her son is named Mann Nutt.

… My Mom is Lynda Mae Cox. Dad (deceased) was Dennis Wade Nutt. Mom was afraid that their wedding announcement would be deemed pornographic since it read “Cox and Nutt to Marry”.

Mom’s side of the family is less obvious, but just as fun!! Her mother, Lucy Hunt, married my grandfather Jack Cox. So, became Lucy Hunt Cox.
